SPATRA First Review Meeting – Bremen, Germany
On January 21, 2025, the SPATRA project held its First Periodic Review Meeting at OHB SE in Bremen, Germany. This meeting was an important opportunity for project partners to come together, review progress, and discuss the next steps in advancing transport monitoring and management through space-based applications.
The meeting was also attended in person by the Project Officer from EUSPA, who provided valuable strategic insights and guidance, helping to ensure that SPATRA stays aligned with broader EU priorities. Their input contributed to shaping the discussions on future activities and impact.
The day started with a welcome session, followed by an update on project management, including amendments and the addition of a new beneficiary. The discussions then moved to technical developments, beginning with Work Package 2 (WP2) and the review of deliverable D2.1, which provided key insights into the project’s early results. Work Package 3 (WP3) was divided into two sessions, where partners engaged in in-depth conversations about ongoing developments and future work.
One of the key highlights of the day was the visit to the OHB Clean Room, where participants had the chance to see first-hand the advanced facilities used for developing high-tech space systems. This provided a valuable perspective on the role of cutting-edge technology in the project’s objectives.
The meeting continued with further discussions on WP3, followed by a review of Work Package 4 (WP4) and deliverable D4.1. The conversation then shifted to Work Package 5 (WP5), where dissemination efforts and outreach activities were reviewed, emphasizing the importance of sharing SPATRA’s work with the broader community. The meeting concluded with a session for review feedback and open discussions, allowing partners to reflect on progress, challenges, and next steps.
The day ended with a social dinner, giving everyone a chance to continue conversations in a more informal setting and strengthen working relationships.
A big thank you to OHB SE for hosting and to all project partners for their contributions. As we move forward, the insights from this meeting will help guide the next steps in developing innovative solutions for transport monitoring and management.
