SPATRA Road Workstream: Field Test at Batrovci and Validation Workshop at NELT
The SPATRA project successfully completed a two-day field validation in Serbia, testing its Road Workstream solutions in real-world conditions. With a live freight journey tracked through Galileo GNSS, drone-based traffic monitoring at the Batrovci border crossing, and a technical validation workshop at NELT’s offices, the team gathered valuable insights to advance smart cross-border logistics. This milestone marks a major step toward more predictable and efficient freight flows in the Western Balkans and beyond.
SPATRA Partners Receive Best Paper Award at CogMob 2025
SPATRA is proud to celebrate its partners’ success at the 4th International Conference on Cognitive Mobility (CogMob 2025) in Budapest. The paper “Recent Advancements in EO-based Monitoring of Railway Infrastructure” received the Best Paper Award in Railway Engineering, recognising the collaboration between the University of Niš (Serbia), OHB Digital Services GmbH (Germany), and Széchenyi István University (Hungary).
The study demonstrates how AI and Earth Observation (EO) technologies can transform railway monitoring and predictive maintenance — directly supporting SPATRA’s mission to enhance transport safety, efficiency, and sustainability through digital innovation.
